What You Need to Know About Wheel Repair, Straightening, and Refinishing

Your vehicle’s wheels can be easily damaged by potholes, curbs, and tons of other causes. Years ago, most wheels that came on a vehicle were made of steel. Today’s automobiles very seldom have steel wheels. Most are made of aluminum and are much more fragile than steel wheels. If you happen to scratch, dent or bend an aluminum wheel, replacing it could cost you a good deal of money. Thankfully, the wheel specialists at Postle’s Tire Barn can repair, straighten, and refinish almost any automobile’s wheels, including aluminum wheels.

Wheel Repair

Our wheel repair service is a convenient solution that can save you from the high cost of wheel replacement. Our skilled technicians professionally restore alloy rims by using the latest technology and innovative techniques. Our professional refinishing process can restore them to make them look like they’re brand new.

In many cases, Postle’s wheel technicians can restore your wheel to its original finish at a fraction of the cost of a new original equipment alloy wheel.

Wheel Replacement

If your wheels are bent, warped, chipped, or broken, driving on them can create vibrations that cause undue stress to vital suspension parts and can potentially cause unsafe driving conditions. As a result, many manufacturers strongly recommend replacing bent or broken alloy wheels as quickly as possible, rather than attempting to repair them.

What We Do

Our wheel repair specialists will inspect your damaged wheels to determine whether the wheels can be repaired, or whether they need to be replaced. This inspection is at no cost to you. We will only repair damaged wheels if the repair can be made in a manner that is consistent with manufacturer service guidelines. If your damaged wheels need to be replaced to ensure the safety of your vehicle, we will make the appropriate recommendation, and if necessary, we will assist you with finding a new wheel for your vehicle.
