Powder Coating
Postle Tire Barn is proud to offer powder coating services with our newer, larger powder coating system. If you’re not familiar with powder coating, it’s a type of coating applied as a free-flowing, dry powder and cured at approximately 400 degrees Fahrenheit to seal color onto metals and other materials that can withstand substantial heat. Powder coating is more resilient to peeling and scratching than normal paint and thus is a great option for wheel customization.
Our powder coating system can be used to finish the wheels on your vehicle in virtually any color. We can also refurbish old metal lawn furniture, household appliances, and just about any type of metal object or hardware. The powder coating process is fairly straightforward: first, we sand and remove any finish on the object to be powder coated. Sometimes this also involves correcting wheel damage (link). Once the object is prepped, we apply the powder in the appropriate color, and cure it in a large oven. We can apply multiple coats of powder to create different effects and colors. After the color is set, we can apply additional finishes to achieve any custom look you envision.

Hunter Road Force Balancing System
The Hunter Road Force Balancing System is the world’s first diagnostic balancer that takes the guesswork out of solving alignment issues. Road Force Balancing adds pressure on your tires and wheels while they’re spinning to simulate how they ride under the weight of your vehicle. Then, computerized sensors calculate irregularities in your tires. This allows our technicians to easily make needed adjustments so your car rides like it’s brand new.
Tire Mounting and Dismounting
Tire mounting and dismounting might seem like the most routine service offered by a tire store, however not all tire stores can handle today’s low profile tires, expensive original parts, or custom wheels. Luckily, Postles has invested in three of the newest Coats High Performance Tire Changers: the Leverless Proguard Plus, capable of handling wheels up to 30 inches in diameter, and the new GTS60 and GTS70 series. Our top-of-the-line tire changers protect any wheels from damage!
The Coats ProGuard Plus Leverless Tire Changer
The Coats ProGuard Plus Leverless Tire Changer is specifically engineered for oversized, run-flat, and low-profile applications. It features a revolutionary design that reduces the risk of tire or rim damage associated with changing low-profile and run-flat tires. In addition to leverless operation, it also has built-in features that take the strain out of tire changing. Lifting, prepping, bead loosening, mounting, and de-mounting can all be done with easy-to-use controls. We are one of the only tire and wheel dealers in West Alabama to have this machine!
Coats GTS60 and Coats GTS70 Tire Changers
The other two top of the line tire changers we have are our Coats GTS60 and Coats GTS70 Tire Changers. These allow us to service vehicles with wheels measuring anywhere from 12 to 24 inches in diameter. These tire changers feature a robo-assist mechanism which provides direct pressure on the tire sidewall to create a secure bead lock. The rim protection tower is a spring loaded mechanical design structure which reduces wheel damage. The face of the wheel is never touched as tires are mounted and dismounted, thus preserving the finish of the wheel.

Postle’s is recognized as one of West Alabama’s top alignment repair facilities. We often have in stock the needed parts to restore a vehicle’s alignment back to its original specifications. We offer wheel alignments for cars, SUV’s, trucks, limos, and dual wheel vehicles. Our alignment technicians can also align your lifted truck, low rider, or even your vintage classic muscle car.
Hofmann Geoliner 790 Alignment System
Our investment in the Hofmann Geoliner 790 Alignment system allows us state of the art precision in aligning your vehicle. The Geoliner offers secure clamping to your vehicle’s wheels without touching them so your wheels will not get scratched. This machine can handle vehicles with wheels up to 32 inches and tires as large as 39 inches tall. We have the experience and the equipment needed to repair your vehicle to get you on the road safely!
